Well that was quick

I just got fired today from Michael Foods. Yeah, that's what I thought... I was only there five and a half days. I knew I wasn't fast enough, no matter how hard I tried, but I didn't expect to be fired so soon and without any warning first. I mean, the shortest employment time I'd had before that was SITEL, where I worked for five months... unless it was Colonial Manor that was less time... I dunno. Anyway, it's for the best anyway. I loathed that job... every fiber of my body screamed in agony against that job. Like today, not only were my feet in pain but my back was as well. Yeah, and my mind didn't like it either. And I wasn't suited to it. Plus, I hate getting up early and I despised the long arduous drive, and gas expenses. At least I got about $341 (before taxes) out of the deal, though that won't come in until two weeks from now. Pretty good pay for five and a half days of work.

My ears now thank me, as do my feet.

Anyway, that was a testament to unintentional magick... everyone practices magick every day whether they know it or not, by what they desire, what they pray for, and what they pray against (negative statements tend to bring you what you don't want, because your statement of a thing makes it so. So always word prayers positively. Like, instead of "I don't want to be unemployed," think instead "I choose a job" or "I will get a job" or "A job will come to me.") Yeah, because every tiny bit of me was screaming against the insanity of that job, screaming that it wasn't worth the money, I unintentionally told the universe I didn't want that job anymore. Oh well, it's all for the best.

Subway called on my first day there, ready to hire me, so I went over today and asked if they were still hiring. The lady who does the hiring greeted me by name with an enormous genuine smile when I walked in the door, and in response to my question said that though they weren't hiring at *that* Subway, they were opening a second one in town on October 5th, and would need people there. So I can expect a phone call sometime. Though I will keep looking for something better, as she told me with a laugh not to wait for it and to find something better if I could. I like her, she's nice. :-)

And, I figure being a sandwich artist for Subway is something I wouldn't have to be terribly fast at, and with those condiments in squirt bottles instead of spreading, that speeds things up. Plus, I make sandwiches for myself all the time, so it's something I already know I'm good at. (And they have plastic gloves so in case I have to touch meat.)

Well, that's all for now. Bye!

Chaotic Blessings;
