Well that was quick

I just got fired today from Michael Foods. Yeah, that's what I thought... I was only there five and a half days. I knew I wasn't fast enough, no matter how hard I tried, but I didn't expect to be fired so soon and without any warning first. I mean, the shortest employment time I'd had before that was SITEL, where I worked for five months... unless it was Colonial Manor that was less time... I dunno. Anyway, it's for the best anyway. I loathed that job... every fiber of my body screamed in agony against that job. Like today, not only were my feet in pain but my back was as well. Yeah, and my mind didn't like it either. And I wasn't suited to it. Plus, I hate getting up early and I despised the long arduous drive, and gas expenses. At least I got about $341 (before taxes) out of the deal, though that won't come in until two weeks from now. Pretty good pay for five and a half days of work.

My ears now thank me, as do my feet.

Anyway, that was a testament to unintentional magick... everyone practices magick every day whether they know it or not, by what they desire, what they pray for, and what they pray against (negative statements tend to bring you what you don't want, because your statement of a thing makes it so. So always word prayers positively. Like, instead of "I don't want to be unemployed," think instead "I choose a job" or "I will get a job" or "A job will come to me.") Yeah, because every tiny bit of me was screaming against the insanity of that job, screaming that it wasn't worth the money, I unintentionally told the universe I didn't want that job anymore. Oh well, it's all for the best.

Subway called on my first day there, ready to hire me, so I went over today and asked if they were still hiring. The lady who does the hiring greeted me by name with an enormous genuine smile when I walked in the door, and in response to my question said that though they weren't hiring at *that* Subway, they were opening a second one in town on October 5th, and would need people there. So I can expect a phone call sometime. Though I will keep looking for something better, as she told me with a laugh not to wait for it and to find something better if I could. I like her, she's nice. :-)

And, I figure being a sandwich artist for Subway is something I wouldn't have to be terribly fast at, and with those condiments in squirt bottles instead of spreading, that speeds things up. Plus, I make sandwiches for myself all the time, so it's something I already know I'm good at. (And they have plastic gloves so in case I have to touch meat.)

Well, that's all for now. Bye!

Chaotic Blessings;

Wait... not eating meat, okay, but not wanting to TOUCH it? Damn, that's weird.

If you go about acting like you're busy instead of packing it's not that much of a surprise that you got fired. I'm still sorry for you though.

So at the subway, are you going to be a conductor or something?

Loaf you,

LOL! No, Subway is a restaurant that makes sandwiches. :-) I'd be a "sandwich artist."

Hey, I WAS busy when not packing! Cleaning the floors, helping the shipping people, and keeping egg patties moving in straight lines was work. :-P

Would you want to touch chopped up beetles? Some people eat stuff like that.

PS = "loaf you" :-)

"Would you want to touch chopped up beetles? Some people eat stuff like that."

No, but I don't eat chopped up beetles because it's gross, and for that same reason would not touch it if given a choice, whereas you don't eat meat because you think it's sad for the animals. That's quite different, because you eating and thus buying meat would mean participating in and supporting a system that kills animals for consumation. Just touching it does not necessarily mean supporting the bad treatment and butchering of animals. Chopped up beetles have very little to do with it all, since our reasons for not eating what we don't eat, are different.

It's still gross. Like with you and seafood.

Meaning, of course, that you think seafood is gross.
