Anyway... so yeah. I sometimes get customers complaining to *me* about how tight the casino is (I work at the buffet of a casino). They do this and I think to myself, And what do you want ME to do about it, exactly? Besides, they probably just have crappy luck. Because if not (and possibly even if so), then I must be a lucky charm for other people while I get none of the leavings. I say this because every time I go on the casino's boat (where the gambling is) to go to the Cage (where the money is kept) so I can get money for the register or drop money off or other similar stuff, every time I go on the boat I hear someone winning a LOT of money. Not like jackpots every time I go in, but the telltale sounds of someone winning at least 20 or 30 dollars. So either the casino isn't as loose as they say, or I am like a living rabbit's foot. (With four of those things you would think rabbits would have more luck. Maybe it's not quite enough. Let's design a rabbit with 13 legs!)
A rabbit with 13 legs
HA! Didn't get to sleep until after midnight last night, had to wake up at 5:20 AM and eat breakfast in the car. Delicious meal of Sun Chips and Malt-o-Meal brand "Honey Nut Toasty O's.&tm;" (Camera pans over to an over-smiling suited man holding a bag of said cereal)
"Yes kids, you heard right! Your favorite wacky superheroine FAYANORA eats Malt-o-Meal&tm; brand cereal! Malt-o-Meal brand Honey Nut Toasty O's&tm; - no one knows better than M.O.M.!"
(A second suited man pushes his way into the shot)
"This blog post is also brought to you by Sun Chips&tm;, the healthy, low-sodium, multigrain snack chip! Sun Chips&tm; - when you're hungry for delicious health!"
I took a nap, and it didn't help much.
That reminds me... when I had my first 6:30 to 3 shift, I went on the boat to get money for the register and was shocked to see people gambling already. It wasn't so much the fact that they were gambling that shocked me as the simple fact that they were awake at that ungodly hour by choice.
