Blegh argh groan

It's bad enough having depression that, while better lately, is still enough to make it hard to do important things like going looking for an apartment, without other stuff getting in the way. I would have been in an apartment by now at a doable $625 a month if it hadn't taken over a week to get in contact with Mom (though I have her cell phone number now). Because of that, the two apartments I was looking at got taken, and the two others that came available were $655. I told the manager I couldn't afford that. He talked to the VP and they left a message on my telephone with an offer of having the apartment for $625 a month until April, when it would go up $10 or $20 a month. I thought about it, and decided not to go with it; come April, it would be a choice between paying more than I could afford to keep the place, and moving out. I didn't want to risk it, not knowing what my cash flow would be like then, and knowing how long it takes me to find a new place. So it would end up being a temporary solution, and more trouble than it was worth.

Then for today I had plans to go apartment hunting again. But, I woke up with a headache, and feeling like shit. I took pain relievers and felt better for a while. Didn't want to go anywhere because of it, but then kengr dragged me off to her storage place. I went because I needed to stop at mine, too, which is only a couple blocks from hers.

On the way there, I got so motion sick I nearly puked. I got better as we were walking around, but on the elevator up to the fourth floor of her storage building, I got motion sick again. Not as bad as before, though.

Then, since we were in the area, we went to Sheridan's Fruit Company, which sells a lot more than fruit. They have a huge bulk foods section, and an interesting meat section. I got some hot Italian sausage. I was intrigued by some of the meats they had there. Duck, venison, elk, something called "jackalope" with no further explanation, even alligator. Most of the unusual meats were in sausage form and no other. I was somewhat tempted to try the alligator, just out of curiosity. They also had lamb, but I'm not interested in that. I had lamb once, and it made me sick to my stomach.

Anyway, that's all.
