Neat game

Seeing this picture made me think of an interesting idea for a game: reverse pool. In reverse pool, you have to keep all the balls on the table. Whoever loses all their balls first loses the game. There would be rules, too: your ball has to bounce against either one of the sides or against another ball for your turn to count. If you take a shot and it doesn't bounce off a side, off another ball, or go into one of the pockets, then you have to keep going until one of your shots *does* meet one of those criteria.

Of course, it would probably require different billiard balls, like a whole bunch of one color and a whole bunch of a second. Or I suppose one person could take odd-numbered balls and the other could have even-numbered balls. Probably would be a good idea to take note of the different balls ahead of time in case one falls in and you didn't catch which one it was.

Another idea for a game could be "field pool." Same cues, but large rubber numbered balls, and it's played on a football or soccer field. Or instead of cues, one could use cricket bats or feet. Make up your own details from there. :-)

We used to play something like this on a snooker table. You used the cue ball to hit your ball to hit another person's ball into the pocket without hitting your ball into the pocket too. One person took stripes, on person took solids. First one off the table lost.
