Force delete?

Sometimes I try to delete a file and it tells me I can't do that because it's being used because "someone else is using it." This is a major load of crap. These are NOT system files, this is on MY computer, I am the ONLY PERSON using the goddamn file. Is there some kind of force-delete on PCs? Because this shit is pissing me off. I'm trying to clear space on my computer and I am fucking tired of the damned thing telling me what I can and can't do on it when I AM THE HUMAN AND I KNOW BETTER THAN IT!

EDIT: Never mind, I found something called File Assassin that did it.

When I find a file inexplicably locked in windows, I reboot.

If I suspect it is a system file, I reboot in safe mode.

If that does not solve the problem, I run a virus scan.

On a multi-tasking OS, deleting files that one of your apps has open can cause real problems. That's *why* Windows won't let you do it.

What you want is "Who Lock Me?" That'll let you know what app has the file open (and way too many leave files open after you close them. Or at least leave *directories* open)

http://www.dr-hoiby.com/WhoLockMe/ looks to be the latest version.
