Missing girl

And she's white, of course. Never this kind of coverage of minority children missing, oh of course not. Always the pretty white kids. *Mumbles angrily*

See this page for my opinions on the media.

That poem of yours would make a great song. Especially rock or punk. Even metal.

Indeed. I wish I could be the song writer for a rock/metal band. I have a lot of great songs for them. :-)

In fact, I've fantasized about being in a band called Shadow Syde.

You could always start that band.

I would need a singer, and people to do the music. I would also need someone to turn my lyrics and tunes into written music.

This all is because I can't play instruments, and I can't write in music notes.

Although I suppose I could be the singer.

You have a great voice for a rock, metal or punk band.

*Blushes*

I can also do softer songs well too. :-)

Do YOU know how to write music notes? Or play an instrument?

Interesting related story... after missing the first few weeks of Band Club at school, they STILL made me take the test to see how much I knew of notes. Long story short: I bluffed my way through the entire thing, as it was all Greek to me, and I told them beforehand that's what I'd have to do anyway @_@. So basically, any guesses I got correct would have counted officially and the teach actually knew I was guessing. Was so stupid.

I never did learn the notes. I bluffed my way through the entire few months I was in there. The teacher never even reccomended a book about it to get from the library @_@. Crappiest - teacher - ever.

I'm going to learn how to play the recorder, the drums, the keyboard/piano and maybe others. But I'm not good at anything at the moment. I can play one song on the recorder at least :P

Ironically, I don't even remember the title or the lyrics... just the notes:

B, A, G.

B, A, G.

B, B;

A, A.

B, A, G.

And then repeat... and then done. I recall the words "one a penny, two a penny" somewhere in there.

The way the media works, I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason your local station aired something about the black girl was either A) Her parents are rich and/or well known. or B) They wanted to make themselves look good in the midst of all the complaints about missing minorities not getting media coverage. The second would be a step in the right direction, but I'm awfully wary of the media so while I hope that's the reason, I doubt it is.

You speak very truthfully, I agree with those whole bottom two paragraphs.

By the way, I'm part Iriqois myself. Not that it has anything to do with the issue, just thought it would be worth mentioning for trivia's sake.

You live in the South and you like it better than MA? @_@ MA must be pretty bad, then.

We moved around a lot when I was a kid, too, but never that much. Maybe... 6 times.

I hate moving. It's so much work, and uprooting your life is hard.

Why do YOU move so much? Me, it was because of Mom's jobs.

Well, I'm like 1/16th Native American, so I am definetely white. I even have freckles. Gods, how I hate those... I wish I DID look more like my Native American side. You know, I don't think I've ever seen a Native American man with a beard. Do they just not have the ability to grow beards, or what? If so, I envy them greatly.

WOOT!

I have seen Asians with facial hair, but usually not much, and it takes them a long time.

I wish I couldn't grow a beard... I loathe shaving, except shaving my legs. Well, if I could go without having to do that, too, that'd be great as well.

Oh, to be a child again and not have to have body hair anymore. I never liked it when it started growing in.

I think part of the reason I don't like body hair is because Dad has so much on his arms and legs and other areas that we call him Sasquatch sometimes. XD

Plus, I'm very effeminate.

*Shudders* I would have to love someone a LOT to put up with that much hair on them.
