I remember Star Trek; I used to watch that as a kid. Captain Kirk and his sidekick, the guy with the pointed ears, and the Trouble with Tribbles. :-) Didn't realize they were still around.

I don't have to imagine it. Star Trek started at the same time I started 7th grade. :-)

Easily. Terrance Dicks was a far, far better world builder, as was Asimov, Heinlein and of course Lucas.
