"Silence But For Broken Leaves"

“Silence But For Broken Leaves”
By Tristan A. Arts

Silence but for broken leaves
Mumbling bitterly on the ground;
Nature trying to hide bare pavement,
A subtle charnel ground.

Blackened clouds roil and scream,
To protest for their desire;
Moisture? Oh don’t they wish,
There’s been none since The Fire.

Acid boiling in the sky,
Thor’s face, it melts away;
As He breathes the putrid air,
His lungs turn black as the day.

Nature will recover,
But it will take some time;
Nature is not dead,
But is humankind?

The world is a cremation ground,
Mother Nature sorely grieves;
And all the land is silent,
But for the broken leaves.

Chaotic Blessings;
---Fayanora/Tristan A. Arts

By the way, I'm not letting go all rules of decent language, but I felt so hyper that this writing everything right is costing me quite some concentration at the moment.
