* Rice noodles
* Dried seaweed
* Half stick of butter or margarine (or however much is good to you)
* 1 can of tuna
* Some chopped onion (or you could use flakes, or both)
* Some milk (optional, along with the rest of the ingredients)
* Some paprika
* Some salt (optional, but I wouldn't recommend omitting it without some kind of salt substitute. I've had saltless tuna soup... ick!)
* Some pepper
I could never tell you the exact recipe, because like many things I make, it was a spur-of-the-moment experiment and was done by approximation. Like my mom, I toss stuff together in what looks like the right amounts and usually get it right the first time. Though she doesn't experiment like I do; she uses recipes.
It was MUCH more successful than my green eggs (use a food processor to puree green veggies like broccoli, spinach, etc.; mix well with beat eggs, cook), which didn't taste bad but were missing something which I have yet to determine. (Actually it was not quite puree, and maybe could have used a little milk to make it a puree and then maybe would have been better) And seaweed is high in iodine and iron. Also, a high-seaweed diet is why Japanese women tend to not get breast cancer.
I've also in the past made black bean chili and fruit soup (sugar overload, but it tasted good). There were other things, but I forget them now.
The fruit soup was basically chopped up fruit cooked in apple cider broth. Black bean chili was regular chili, substituting black beans for the normal pinto beans.
