Spy bots

Last night I had a dream where someone was telling me that everyone on Earth is brainwashed by the NSA to ignore their network of floating camera bots that spy on everyone. This person was deprogramming me, and the final step was pointing at an apparently random part of the sky and telling me to really look. Suddenly, a round robot the size of a bowling ball appears in the air above me like it materialized out of nowhere, with a bunch of cameras on it pointing in various directions. But it didn't just materialize, it was there the whole time and we'd just all been brainwashed into ignoring them. Naturally, I started to freak the fuck out when I saw it.

Hydration!

1. Have you hydrated appropriately?

Yes. I drink probably more iced tea than I should. (Black and unsweetened, because sweet tea is the devil's urine.)

2. What are your feelings on fizzy water (LaCroix and similar)?

I don't like it. It's drinkable only if there's literally no other option, including regular water. Regular water is nasty enough, and fizzy water is even worse. Especially since there's only ever a tantalizing hint of the possibility of flavor, like whatever it was supposed to taste like passed within a hundred feet of the factory that it was made in. I don't understand why anyone consumes it, ever. I think even drinking piss would be preferable, cuz at least piss has a flavor.

3. Is there a particular holiday-associated beverage you like?

No.

4. Do you have a fancy coffee or tea order? (possibly only for special occasions?)

No. I just take my tea straight.

5. Do you only drink hot beverages when it is cold outside? Why or why not?

Yes. Hot tea. Because it's cold outside, and hot drinks make you warm.

Words have meaning

There's this YouTube video that is titled "paralyzed cat gets wheelchair," but then halfway through the video they're giving it some sort of water therapy where it's shown that its back legs still move so I pointed out that it's not paralyzed and thus the title is misleading.

Someone then tried to school me on how some people have weak legs and still need a wheelchair and I'm like that's not the point I know about those kind of people. Here was my exact response:

Yes, I am aware of that, however that is not the same thing as "paralyzed." Words have meaning, and "paralyzed" means they can't move their legs at all because their spine is severed. Spine being severed means no signal to or from the brain. If the cat's legs still move, the spine is not severed, and therefore he is not paralyzed. Something is wrong with his legs, not with his spine, so he isn't paralyzed. You can't just use a word with a specific meaning like that to mean something else entirely.
