Schwarma

My money came in a day early, so I decided to celebrate by getting a meal at this food cart court near 28th and Burnside. I wasn't sure where to go or what to eat, but I knew I didn't want boring old "American" food. After looking around for a few minutes, I decided to try the Egyptian Bros Gyro place, and try chicken schwarma.

Chicken schwarma, as it turns out, is (at least at that place) basically a grilled Mediterranean burrito made with... baj? daj? some kind of bread with three letters and ending in aj, anyway. Which, as far as I could tell, was pretty much a flour tortilla.

Anyway, the schwarma had spiced chicken, garlic sauce, some kind of reddish sauce in it as well, onions, shredded lettuce and cabbage, pickles, and supposedly french fries as well, but I only tasted one thing that might have been a french fry. It didn't detract from the flavor or texture. But OMG, the schwarma was FUCKING AMAZING! Quite messy towards the end there, but well worth it. In fact, I have a new favorite food!
