Weird typos

I don't know why, but the last few weeks I've been noticing myself do a strange sort of typo where I type words or - more often - parts of words backwards. Like instead of "instead," I type "nistead" or something similar. It's weird. I'm sure I could come up with a better example if I could remember any offhand, I know some of them have really made me stare at the screen going "huh?"

Then, too, I find myself also missing certain letters, but it's not the fault of the keyboard, at least not usually. Because paying attention, I've noticed sometimes I just don't hit the letter very hard or, other times, I don't hit it at all. Also weird.

Oh yeah, and I just got reminded that sometimes I get ahead of myself and type whole words before they're supposed to be there, or part of the words. Like above, I was trying to type "I'm sure I could come up with," and typed "I'm sure I come could up with" instead. Makes me wonder if more than one of us is typing, and one of us is ahead of the other and types a word before we switch back to whoever was slower.

Muslim humor?

I have this one character planned for a series, a Muslim goth girl who wears stuff like head scarves with skullprint. I haven't even written her into the series yet, and already she's doing stuff like popping up at random saying things in my head. Like, just now she popped up and referred to her pilgrimage to Mecca as a "praycation."

Disabled ableism

Even people who are disabled can be ableist, even unintentionally. My GF has depression and is an Aspie, like me, but trying to get her to understand how my IBS can affect me is extremely difficult. She keeps asking me to tell her the day before if I think I can make it to meet her or not, and I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve tried explaining to her that it just doesn’t work that way. My IBS can strike at random, even if I think I’ve been good about eating, one little thing can leave me waking up knowing I can’t be away from a bathroom for long.

Add in a strange sleep cycle that is hard to predict, and there are times when I’m up so late that I’d only get like, 3 hours sleep before meeting with her, which just isn’t enough, and by the time I realize I’m not going to be able to meet with her for that reason, it’s already the next day. And the tiredness addles my ability to think clearly, so I often end up shutting down the computer before realizing to send her a FB message about it. And even if I did, she wouldn’t get it herself until too late anyway because she’s a day sleeper herself as well.

Then add in the heat wave we’ve been having lately, and any spoons I may have had tend to go towards just getting through the day without melting.

So yeah, I keep telling her I can’t predict ahead of time whether I’ll have the spoons to go meet her or not, but she just doesn’t seem to get it.
