What American accent do you have?

Neutral. Not Northern, Southern, or Western, just American. Your national American identity is more important to you than your local identity, because you don't really have a local identity to begin with.

Take this quiz now - it's easy!
We're going to start with "cot" and "caught." When you say those words do they sound the same or different?

This result makes perfect sense for me, since my family and I have both moved around a lot during my lifetime.

ahh!

How did a jazz artist win the grammys? Jazz isn't even music.

How did a jazz musician win Best New Artist at the Grammys? Jazz isn't even music! Jazz has no rhythm, no melody, no beat, or any of that; it's just a bunch of random musical instruments playing random notes. It's worse than noise. I'd rather listen to an abominable cross between Country Western and Rap and Gospel, at least it would sound like music.

Hermione not amused

My day, full of nachos and computer ills.

Went to get my PC looked at today. The place ENU recommended was way the fuck out by 160th and Halsey. I got to the line 77 route when my stomach informed me that the cheesy broccoli I'd had for breakfast was insufficient, and I was to feed it RIGHT THIS MINUTE or it would organize a strike. So I found a nearby restaurant, actually a bar called Sinnott's. For some reason, I ordered the "Hall of Fame Nachos" instead of something cheaper like chicken soup. I was not prepared for how huge they were. I got through maybe 1/4th of the way through before I had to stop and get a box for them. It was a big box, but they barely fit. I'm munching on them right now.

Anyway, stomach placated, I went on to the 77. The guy I'd called said the place was by 102nd. Either I misheard him, or something, because it was nowhere near 102nd. It was by 160th.

Well, it wasn't the fan, and it wasn't the main hard drive making the problem/noise. It was the spare drive in the removable rack. I left my PC there to get it made to be less slow (I forgot the term). When I get it back, I'm going to see if I can get Brooke to help me recover data from it.

Oh, and my laptop was making new noises last night. So I have to go to the Mac Store to get it looked at again. I hope I don't need a new laptop.
