Meme time!

Snagged from christinathena:

How old are you? 27

Gender? Female

Gender preference: Mostly girls. :-) A few guys (based on personality more than looks), but primarily girls.

Your honest, balls-to-the-wall opinion on:

Furries: I'm not one, but I don't mind them.

Fangirls: I like 'em. ^_^ I can sometimes be a bit of one myself.

Fanboys: I like 'em too.

Yaoi: Not my cup o' tea. Definitely prefer yuri.

Critique, regardless of art form or genre: Depends on how it's done. ZOMG THAT'S THE SUXXORS ... not so good. Deeper analysis of strengths and weaknesses, much better. :-)

Manga-style illustration: I like it for the most part. :-)

Manga-style illustration with a Western influence: Mixing genres is cool

Rap music: I like a few rap songs, but for the most part, I don't like it.

Mainstream pop music: I like some of it. It's fun to listen to silly pop songs sometimes.

Heavy Metal music: Hell yeah! *makes devil-horn sign*

'GRRL GAMERS': They're cool. The spelling of the word "grrl," I dunno.

Women & men in general: People are people, but I have noticed women's bathrooms tend to be cleaner than mens' rooms.

World Politics: Politics means "many small, blood-sucking insects."

American politicians: A bunch of buffoons. Like any other nation's politicians. But, mixed in with nationalist arrogance

DeviantART: Sometimes

Gay folks: You like who you like, and that's that.

Bisexuality: See above.

Japan: One of the coolest countries in the world, especially for a weirdo like me!

The Internet Male/Internet Tough Guy: Not cool at all.

Roleplayers: A good bunch of people. :-) I've dabbled in RPGs as well as less formalized forms of roleplaying. It's fun.

Myspace: Myspace is for angsty teenagers. With luck, they grow out of it in a few years.

Straight Edge: If that works for you, gives you a sense of personal fulfillment and peace, then go for it. Just don't think it makes you superior.

The sex industry: Should be legal.

Anime: I'm not as much into it as I used to be, but there's some good stuff there.

America: It has its good points and bad points, like any nation. Not sure there's any nation that even comes close to fitting my ideal.

Conclusion: Who the hell makes up some of these questions?

"Boys, I have a way we can make $7.25 profit off each individual sock!" "NO WAI!!!" "Yes way!"

I was sock-shopping at FredMeyer's today. Plain old single-colored socks. Best price was 6 pairs of socks for $11.99, which I thought was way high until I saw some of the other prices, like 6 pair for $15. Worst was *a single pair of socks* for $15! That's $7.50 for each sock, which is ridiculous considering the company probably spent 25 cents making the damn thing. They weren't even anything fancy like silk, either. Just cotton and/or polyester, as far as I could tell. Please tell me nobody actually pays that much for socks, please? Even 6 pair for $12 was too high for me. I ended up getting some at Winco, where I got eight pair for less than $10.
