Star Trek: Nemesis

Over at startrek, I started a discussion about Star Trek: Nemesis and it wandered into a lot of people saying they don't consider that movie canonical because Data died. One person, hecate_12, says I think I may have to subscribe to this "Nemesis isn't canon" idea - although I liked that movie...

To which I responded: "Better yet: it was canon up until the point just before Data put the beam-away thingy on Picard. In the *real* Star Trek universe, Picard ducked, grabbed Data's arm, and made Data tag himself. Picard saves the day and then Q rushes in and swoops Picard away in the nick of time where Q finally confesses that he's madly in love with Picard and they have passionate sex back on pre-life Earth, where Picard's sperm gives the primordial ooze what it needs to create life."

We can all call Jean-Luc Picard "daddy."
