My sister's writing

My sister, _raven03, is an absolutely astounding author! I wish I could share some of her stuff with you all, but I'd have to get her permission first. It's incredible! At 13, she's writing better than I did even 2 years ago! She can't spell well, like Mom, but she has an incredible vocabulary and a superb grasp of human drama. My own forte is adventure/scifi, but hers is first-person contemporary drama. There's this story she has about a character who's name I can't recall (and his {her?} friend Rex), and every time I stumble across bits and pieces of it, I become entranced. She says she's not ready yet to publish, but I think that's just an emotional roadblock... I honestly think she could publish a book now, at 13.

It's so amazing... at 13 I sucked! I had the vision and the passion, but not the skills. Because of this, I'd start stories and never finish them because I knew they sucked. I've only gotten really good in the last couple of years.

Tara, I wish you luck in your writing... someday you'll be ready to publish, and if you do it right, you'll knock the socks off some poor publisher reading your manuscript!

I've had it with the nonfluffypagans community

I posted this message at nonfluffypagans, and again got nothing but idiotic comments about Shao-Kehn's name. Not a single intelligent reply in the whole damned thing, because they're all morons over there. It's making me consider changing Her name to the Omni-Personality's name (Djao'Kain).

I won't even bothering linking back to them, but for posterity I repeat my final post to them, in case they delete it:

Not wanting any more comments to put up with, any comments there are only be screened, but will not be emailed to me. And I'm screening the comments here, too. (But not turning off email). Screening level on this post is "non-friends."

Anger

My anger at the people of nonfluffypagans community inspired a great part of my second novel, "One Hundred Year Wait," just now. I won't give any spoilers, but suffice it to say that I've cooled down thanks to it.

I hereby apologize to all the people of nonfluffypagans who gave me grief. I still think you're bullies with nothing better to do with your life than pick on innocent people, but I do recognize that I should've just left the community after deleting the thread about the picture, and left it at that. Bullies are best handled by ignoring them, so in the future I will endeavor to do that.
