mourning

Emmett Petersen

I have this charecter, Emmett Marshall Petersen (AKA E.M.P.), who has mutant powers over electricity. Now, the charecters of other people who have had this power have had it very unrealistically... the electricity not working according to the laws of physics. Also, there are depths to this power that no one else has explored that I would like to. After all, there is static electricity all over in the air and in solid objects... and people's brains and nervous system operate with electricity. This anti-hero charecter I have is the answer to this, and I want to see what people think of him, give them a preview of him.

Now, the following story piece shows his darker side, his angry side. But he really is just a tough guy doing what he has to in order to survive in the future. He makes sure never to kill people unless it's the only option they give him. He'll stun them, tazer them, temporarily paralyze people, but never kill them. I named him with the initials E.M.P. because one of his powers is the ability to create an electro-magnetic pulse.

Here is the taste of the story:

And yes, I was angry when I wrote this. :-)

New candle and how to tell you're a Goth (done by a Christian)

About two years ago, I ordered a couple of black candles from Soma Luna, because Shao'Kehn and I both like black candles (for Her I burn 6 candles every time in my rooom - one each of white, red, green, purple, blue, and black). I ordered what looked like moderately sized candles, not realizing how tall a 12 inch candle was going to be. I ordered two. It wasn't till I got the box that I realized my strange mistake. A foot-tall pillar candle is HUGE! Especially since it's three inches thick. And I had got two of them.

Now, just last night the first one I'd been using for that period of almost 2 years finally got to the point where it would die completely if I lit it any more. So I started using the second one now. One thing's for sure... they last a LONG time. I'd guess that if you lit one every night for an hour, it would still last 6 months or more.

Next time I think I'll go instead with the 6 inch kind. :-) I do like pillars better than tapers.
