      I know it's not really funny, but it is. Tara woke up at 6:30 AM to get ready for school on Friday, and went to school only to find that no one was there but the teachers. Apparently we were not informed that school actually starts Monday. It was funny in a not funny way. :-)

      So anyway, she starts tomorrow. I wish her luck.

      BART IS BACK! YAY!!!!!!!!! He was away at a huge concert festival thing, listening to bands I've never even heard of and would probably go deaf listening to, and getting very drunk. Lots of funny stories coming from him. :-D

      I submitted my novel to Whitmore Publishing Company. Should hear something back from them in a few weeks. I also intend on submitting it to DAW books, but that will require printing off the story, sending it in the mail, and waiting three months. Furthermore, I asked for submission guidelines of a place called iBooks Inc.

      I've also asked my friend DAVID BRIN (yes, THE David Brin) if he knows how to get the submission guidelines for Bantam Spectra. He apparently didn't know, but is asking around. I guess his literary agest must have done all the work for him with Spectra.

      Yes, for those of you who didn't know already, I have written a novel. It's a science fiction murder mystery bordering on fantasy. Here's the blurb I wrote for it:

      "In the year 2904 AD, humans have been exploring the galaxy for centuries already, and have found many amazing forms of sentient life already. But then they stumble across a lost civilization surprisingly close to home. Expecting another unusual life form, they instead find a species almost entirely identical to humans. This species, the Ah'Koi Bahnis, has an almost-perfect enlightened (and very spiritual) society, and though the two are very different from each other, they become friends.

      "Now it's 3231 AD, and an Ah'Koi Bahnis Truthspeaker named Nokwahl employs her psychic prowess to help her human friends fight crime. Employed by Earth's only law enforcement agency as a Detective, she hunts down the scum of the universe on a regular basis. Her latest assignment is catching a murderer who can make his victims literally vanish out of existence. But can she cope when she finds out the victim is the man who raped her years ago?"

      I've already begun writing my second novel, too. I already like the second one better, but the first one is first and this second one has to be second.

That's all for now. :-)

Chaotic Blessings;
