The first sign of trouble was that I don't have baking powder. But since the recipe also had a sub-recipe for a single tortilla, I tried one without the baking powder to see what would happen. That one fell apart while it was being made, but the pieces were crunchy in parts and leathery in others, and tasted pretty good.
But, silly me, I decided to try to improve the structural integrity with an egg. (Integgrity, if you will.) Well, that did indeed improve the structural integrity, but it also made it taste like pancakes. Pancakes and Mexican food, not a good combo. Edible, but only just. Next time, just gonna go without the egg.
I would've just made pita bread instead, since I have everything I need for that, but it takes like 2 and a half hours to make.
