For book geeks

Ever wanted to see my library? I have my library online now! (Not all of them, since a lot are still in Iowa, but I put down as many as I have and can remember.) View that here: http://www.librarything.com/catalog.php?view=Fayanora&shelf=list

I'm so in love with LT. I wish I had more time to dabble in the forums - people there are very polite and intelligent, more so than on LJ IMHO.

is what I'm using. Among other things, I can use that bar code wand I showed you to scan the barcode on the back of books and it'll enter the info for me. :-)

Library Thing works with scanners as well. Also, they have a great early reviewers program with several publishing houses. I have gotten three free books so far.

The best thing about it is the tagging feature. Being able to browse your library by tag is pretty fun... it reveals many connections you wouldn't typically make: http://www.librarything.com/tagcloud.php?view=princemuchao

Oh I'm making a table like that in excel (maybe you saw that entry in my journal) and after I'm done I'll copy it in that site, it's too awesome, thanks!
