Likewise, freedom of the press trumps freedom of speech. That is, you are free to say whatever you want, but freedom of the press means that nobody can force the newspapers to print it or the radio or tv stations to air ot.

Their "press", their rules.

Same applies to online forums. The person running the forum gets to decide what is and isn't allowed there.

And to make things about freedom of speech a bit clearer, if what you say or write causes harm to someone they can sue you for libel or slander to recover damages. There can even be criminal charges (things like "inciting to riot")

Like the pic says, you aren't free from the *consequences* of your speech.

And the third part of the First Amendment is even more misunderstood. Freedom of religion includes freedom *from* religion. Not just that you can be an atheist if you want to, but that *no one* gets to say you have to comply with the rules of their religion.

If you are a member of their church, they can kick you out fr not following their rules. But that's it.

It's sufficiently misunderstood that I think we could use a law that *explicitly states* that you do not get to force your religious beliefs on others.

And you *are* liable for injuries done to others *including your kids* due to making them follow your religion.

All the cases of death and hospitalization because parents believed in praying instead of going to the doctor.

And the cases like those two brothers recently. One severely injured, the other dead because their family and friends were *beating* them to get them to confess to their "sins". And those weren't kids, they were 17 & 19.

The one with the shopping cart is wrong on many levels. Beside the fact that they are using (abusing!) stolen property, the chrome plating on those is not a good thing to be cooking on.

Possible toxicity issues, and used that way it could flake of into the food, giving you sharp slivers of metal in your mouth and digestive tract.

When you showed me those pics, I didn't realize it was intended for *blind* users.

Major problem: how is a blind user going to "track" the line of characters on the page? That's the sort of detail folks often overlook when designing stuff for the disabled.

Also, the big expense isn't the scanner. Those are fairly cheap. It's the OCR software to *reliably* turn the scanned image into text.

Not as bad as a screen reader program, but still bad.
