Sat, 14:00: bogleech: skelefolk: titleknown: Can the science side of Tumblr tell me how safe it is to drink glowstick... http://t.co/Hs3GiMLvaL

I suspect he's trying to come up with a "glowing" punch for Halloween.

Tonic water is your friend. It glows this lovely blue-white color under black light.

Tried a search for:
food safe fluorescent dyes
and got this hit:
http://askville.amazon.com/food-safe-fluorescent-dyes/AnswerViewer.do?requestId=3926529

However, ignore the reference to fluorescein near the end. That was the *first* thing I checked, and some folks have a nasty allergic reaction to it!

ps. chat plz?

Sat, 19:20: Petition for any game with boob armour to also feature dick armour. - zeke-fierceclaw:... http://t.co/AgqHrlnxhO

Also, the "tit cups" type of armor is not merely impractical, it's actually *dangerous*.

Blows to that area will wind up with the force of the blow getting "focused" onto the sternum. Resulting in severe damage to the wearer.

Actual armor for women (there are a lot of women fighters in the SCA, as well as women in various martial arts that require protection) has more of a flattened "uniboob" look to it.

Sun, 01:42: Video: Taboo: child rearing. A video about different ways some cultures raise their kids. | My comment:... http://t.co/WleZ1qiVdD

(Haven't watched the video yet)

Once I was allowed to cross the street by myself, I wandered all over the place. At I didn't necessarily have to be home by dark either. I remember playing with some older kids in a huge vacant lot (that later became a strip mall) well after dark and not getting in trouble for it. And I think that was before I started school.

When we moved in 4th grade, we were on the edge of town and I wandered thru the woods for miles. Even farther when I learned to ride a bike (I got a late start on that).

Never had a car, but by junior high I would *literally* ride to the other side of town. A few times I rode the 20 miles out to the airbase.
