Sun, 11:48: Photo: bekusa: fayanora: micdotcom: Surprise, American millennials are falling behind the rest of the... http://t.co/wipLnWgYc8

Take good look at the vertical scale on the graphs in that article. For example, the first graph has been set up with the range between 200 and zero *removed* (there's a little // on the vertical axis to indicate that, but you have to look hard to see it).

If the graphs were presented with the full vertical axis present, you'd see that the scores differ *very* little.

On that graph the average is 282. The US "millennials" score is 274. Which is a bit more than 97% of the average score. That's *not* a huge shortfall.

This sort of thing is a dead giveaway that the presentation of the data has been "cooked" to argue for something that it doesn't *really* support.

Rather like the things that say something "doubles" the risk of X. Yeah, it takes it from 1 chance in a hundred thousand to 2 chances. Whoop-de-do.

I'm not saying that there may not be cause for concern. But the presentation argues for somebody trying to sell you a bill of goods.

Thanks for pointing that out! Mind if I add that to the post, with credit?
