My brain scares me

I just thought of a horrible critter to inflict on the continent of Ahbahss, on the planet Traipah. Imagine something the size of a Japanese giant hornet, but social, aggressive as all hell, that swarms like Africanized bees and builds enormous mounds. They make a kind of honey that is extremely delicious, and fucktons of it, but they're huge, aggressive, and just one sting would put you in the hospital for a week.

Now imagine keeping these things professionally, to sell the honey.

I can picture the tactics now: have your group's fastest runner poke the hive with a stick and then run like fuck as the swarm chases hir. While the swarm is thus occupied, raid the nest for the honey.

My only question is, I'm wondering if the Ah'Koi Bahnis would eat it. I mean, they're herbivores. And honey is mostly sugar, right?

EDIT: OMG, this won't the only nasty swarming insect on Ahbahss. I found this in the info file while about to add this new critter:

Rah'laaf'dahk = Not only are these worms fast and sighted, they're also poisonous and are hive insects. Oh, and not really worms. They have literally thousands of tiny legs. They can shoot out of their burrows at speeds fast enough to come out flying, and the soldiers have wings for gliding. The poison in the stings won't kill from one sting, but it will set every single nerve on fire, causing scream-inducing agony for over an hour. They also don't lose their stingers, so they can sting multiple times. Home: Ah'Bahss.

The honey-making insects will be called jokokoro.

Look into Mexican Bee Keepers
Killer Bees are so prevalent in Mexico that many Bee Keepers have just opted to figure out how to tend Killer Bee infested hives. Handling them much like various other hives.

Maybe look into that.

Honey is more flower cum vomit. So... if they are okay with eating sexual fluid vomit and/or vomited up fruits and vegetables (I mean, on a digestive system level... not necessarily on a squink level)...

Maybe my interest in monster girls has screwed me up here... but imagine bees as the sort that love cunnilingus and fellatio of plants that they mostly just run around giving oral sex to plants of all genders, male, female and hermaphroditic. Typically having themselves covered in the sexual ejaculatory from such matters as well. Making just being sexually active with these blow job menaces able to make the plants they are giving oral to pregnant, if they are biologically possible, from a completely anonymous source.

Then to feed the young, they vomit up a set of the sexual ejaculatory they have stomached and store it in little hexagonal bins.

Oh add their ability to describe locations in an instinctually known flag manifold format... and bees get even more scary. As bees are freaking biological sex crazed quantum computers on top of socially maltempered death machines.

Re: Look into Mexican Bee Keepers
I don't know about nectar, but female-only flowers (very rare; most plants/flowers are hermaphrodites) would not have pollen. But I suppose they may still need to attract pollen-covered bees.

Flowers are weird, yes. Who knows where that bee has been, after all; it's like the flowers are engaged in unprotected orgies with strangers they've never even met before, who may or may not even be the same species, with bees as the go-between. Flowers are nature's perverted sex maniacs. :-) No wonder "birds and the bees" is a euphemism for sex, though it should be "the flowers and the bees." Dunno what birds have to do with it, aside from the fact some birds might eat bees.

And then some trees and flowers get their sperm all in the air, and some people like Brooke are allergic to all this tree bukkake.

You know, it used to be half the stuff you said (or more) made little sense to me, or I'd have to re-read it a bunch of times. I just noticed I can now usually understand you now perfectly well after one reading of your comments, usually.

Oh, and have you seen that comic where the queen is talking to a knight and says "I'm going to give you this dagger, which will be attached to your internal organs. You'll stab your enemies with it, which will kill you when your organs come spilling out. It won't kill them, though; it might sting a little, and maybe they'll leave us alone." ?

Re: Look into Mexican Bee Keepers
Flowers can be male, female or hermaphrodites. I mostly know due to my knowledge in growing cannabis. As you need to keep the males and females separate. Males would have the pollen... females would have the nectar and hermaphrodites have both pollen and nectar.

Essentially, bees eat out flowers until they squirt while having flower cock rub all over their bodies. Resulting in their flower cum covered bodies to knock up flowers they are eating out. Just imagine how coated a human would have to be for that to work. Flowers can get knocked up just by looking at them.

Haven't seen the comic yet... but it sounds cute.

And you beginning to get and understand me should scare the crap out of you. If it doesn't... that should probably scare you even more.
