RE the first question: I don't label myself with either. I find both to be rather offensive, as I've spent my life being labelled in one way or another and would really rather just be me.

Why have you screened comments?

Because you're posting in my personal LJ, not whatever community you've come from. And my LJ default is to screen comments by non-friends.

OK, that was unexpected.

If I see a poll in a community, I assume that the poll was posted to that community, rather than that it is a poll copied from a personal journal.

Posting the poll here and then copying it elsewhere was the easiest way to share it in multiple places so people could vote as it came up on their screens, rather than having to wait and go to another page.

Thats actually a kick-ass attitude.

So, query. What is "otherkin," by your definition? I tried looking it up, but it appears that the definition is somewhat vague, or is not really agreed upon, except that people who identify themselves as such feel as if they are (perhaps obviously) "other" than typically human. That covers a very broad range, indeed.

Sounds like you understand it fine.

True, but some people - like myself - don't *feel* like we're the same species, quite, as other humans. Whether we explain it with reincarnation or a mutation or whatever, it's just a feeling, ultimately. The *feeling* like one is "other" is what otherkin is all about.

Does it count if i'm autism spectrum?

Well yes, that's why I said both "aspie" and "autie." :-)

Does it show who voted yes and no to which on your end of the results?

Yes. But anonymous replies will be fine, too. And, obviously, you need not answer if it makes you uncomfortable.

I was wondering for statistical considerations :)

If you ever ask the first question again, have a "not sure" option.

Why? I think everyone knows what autism and Asperger's is by now. Even if you're not diagnosed, you should have some idea.

some idea isn't the same as yes (or no, for that matter)
