Drawing of Molly Elizabeth

The picture under the cut is a picture of my inner child, Molly Elizabeth. I actually had to put this in my public Dropbox folder because it was the only way Comcast would let me upload the damned thing. Tried Tumblr, LiveJournal, Photobucket, Mediafire, even Gmail and no matter what site I tried uploading it to, it wouldn’t work.

Luckily, now that it's on Tumblr using the link Dropbox provided me, I can remove the picture from the public Dropbox folder.

By the way, in a few days to a week, I should be able to link y'all to Molly's updated web pages, and Alex's as well.

have I talked with Molly?
Now I am kind of curious as to how Molly would react to me...

I mean, Fayanora and Alex seem to really like me. Clearly Molly will hate the crap out of me. You know... on principle of this matter.

Re: have I talked with Molly?
I don't think you've spoken with Molly yet.

I think she finds you a little confusing, but fun.

Why didn't you just FTP it directly to your Comcast account? (If you don't know what that means, ask kengr - I'm too tired to explain things right now.) That's how I make pictures available to link to my journals; the link will look like:

I don't have Internet at home. I'm at Kengr's apartment using her Internet.

Doesn't matter where you are, or what computer you're using. If you have the original file (a scan of a drawing, a digital photo, etc.), and access to the 'net, you can transfer files via FTP to any server you choose to use.

As just one example, you can't FTP to PhotoBucket or most social media sites.

I have never used PhotoBucket, Flickr, Tumblr, or any "social media" other than LJ/DW. Faye said she hadn't been able to upload the picture to Comcast. I FTP all sorts of stuff to Comcast - well, mostly pictures, occasionally an MP3, a couple of documents I want to keep available for sharing. Granted, I almost never upload a picture that's as big as that drawing.

No, actually, I was intending to imply that Comcast wasn't letting me upload anything anywhere. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear. I didn't even know you *could* transfer anything directly to Comcast, so I couldn't have known I wasn't making it clear.

Whereas, since I'm an old phart, I never even thought that there might be other ways to upload material to a server site. (FTP is very old, and really stupid-simple - the initials stand for "File Transfer Protocol".)

If the image size was the problem, I can make a useful suggestion: It's the image server I use for my 'monday girls' images, but it helps if you can read Russian.

I don't think it was the size. I have a similar problem at least half the time when uploading smaller pictures. I don't know what the issue is, to be honest.

Also, "Monday Girls"? (That, and I don't know Russian.)

Yes, it's a semi-regular feature I run. Though I don't do spread-eagled raunchy porn, yet still I filter what I do run, for the same reason as always: To avoid offending the sensibilities of my readers.

But when it's just fun, y' know, why not.

A measly 300k photo attached to an email gave me problems the other day. Comcast is probably doing their old tricks of messing with packets to try to stop torrents and things and fucking it up.
