Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everyone! Samhain is today, and it's the Wiccan/Pagan New Year!

Last Friday was the Halloween dressup day for employees at the casino/buffet. LOTS of people dressed up this year. I wore this beautiful witch/vampiress/sorceress kind of dress I'd bought online along with some regular makeup. No wig or hat. Just used it as an excuse to let Lo come out again. My costume wasn't exactly original, so it didn't even get an honorable mention this time around. But it was fun! I got lots of compliments about the dress.

Well, that's all for now!

Oooh - I'd love to see a picture! The dress sounds gorgeous. I gotta post pics from the events I've been too - so check out my LJ tomorrow :D And can you email me your address again? I still have that silly little box...sorry so forgetful *sighs*

Happy Samhain to you too - and have a beautiful new year!

I could've sworn I'd replied to your comment already. But I guess not.

Anyway... when I get a way to get pics of me in that dress, I will indeed post them.

I demand photos.

I dressed up as a drunk for the weekend. I wore ratty house clothes and drank a whole lot.

Meh. I don't really do Halloween anymore, and I'm no wiccan or pagan.

*Puts a wreath of tiny skulls around your neck* Aloha, friend! Light the seven candles on the Samhain tree for us and lean against the maypole with us. We're eating painted eggs and our drinks have tiny American flags in them!

I don't eat eggs. And I don't believe in nations.

*Uses her magic wand to turn the eggs into egg-free muffins, and the American flags into umbrellas.*

Well the "traditional" date is actually the 2nd. But the Sun doesn't reach the right place in the sky until the 7th.

Yes, the 4 "cross-quarter days" are supposed to be halfway between the equinoxes & solstices.

Ironic that the New Year truly begins on election day.
