The Pink Triangle was originally a Nazi symbol!

Uh, no. The above statement implies that it was a symbol used by and *for* Nazis.

Instead, it was a label *applied* by nazis *against* homosexuals.

A better description would be "The pink triangle comes from the Nazi death camps."

Only if you didn't read the article, doofus.

Which is my *point*. Folks *will* make assumptions (especially those prone to prejudice and the TL;DR types) based *solely on that "headline" and *not* bother reading. Especially when the article requires *another* clickthru to get at.

Well I didn't come up with the headline. And anyone who knows me will be able to figure out the proper meaning.

<sarcasm>Oh no. She's exercising her religious freedom. Just like the woman who protested getting dropped from her pysch training program, because she wouldn't refrain from doing that sort of thing to the student patients she'd be working with.</sarcasm>

Fortunately, that latter got caught because she *honestly* answered some questions on a questionaire during the screening process.

They told her that she wasn't allowed to push her views on patients *especially* when they contradict proper psych diagnosis rules (official position of the psych community is that homosexuality is *not* curable, and that you treat the problems caused by being homosexual by getting the patient to accept themselves and help them find ways to cope with bigots)

She filed an appeal claiming that they were discriminating against her. She lost. The nasty "Christian" types are still trumpeting it as a religious freedom issue.

I'd love to be able to ask one of them how they'd feel if they got assigned a "doctor" who was a Christian Scientist or the like and insisted that they try to pray away their illness.

Or better yet, ask them how they'd feel getting assigned a Scientologist for their shrink, who insisted on trying to get rid of their thetans.
